Waiver and Release of Liability:

I, the undersigned, acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk: I understand that participating in running activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical injury, illness, and property damage. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in FTRT activities.
2. Medical Clearance: I certify that I am physically fit and have no medical conditions that would prevent me from safely participating in running activities. I agree to seek medical advice if I have any concerns about my health or ability to participate.
3. Code of Conduct: I have read and agree to abide by the FTRT Ethics and Code of Conduct Policy, which requires conduct that upholds an environment that is supportive, respectful to others, and free of any form of harassment. I understand that failure to comply with the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to suspension or termination of the right to participate.
4. Safety and Etiquette: I agree to follow all safety guidelines and running etiquette as outlined in the FTRT Ethics and Code of Conduct Policy. This includes wearing appropriate safety gear, following traffic laws, and respecting other participants.
5. Confidentiality and Data Protection: I agree to respect the confidentiality of information shared within the organization and to handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
6. Medical Treatment: In the event of an emergency, I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by emergency personnel. I agree to be responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.
7. Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, and discharge FTRT, its officers, members, volunteers, and sponsors from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me while participating in FTRT activities.
8. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless FTRT, its officers, members, volunteers, and sponsors from any and all claims, demands, actions, and costs, including attorney's fees, arising out of or related to my participation in FTRT activities.
9. Photo and Media Release: I grant FTRT permission to use photographs, videos, and other media of me taken during FTRT activities for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website content, and marketing materials.
10. Minor Participants: If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver. The parent or legal guardian agrees to all terms and conditions on behalf of the minor participant.
11. Behavioral Expectations: I agree to conduct myself in a manner that is respectful and considerate of others. I understand that any behavior deemed inappropriate by FTRT leadership may result in disciplinary action.
12. No Warranty: I understand that FTRT makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the safety or suitability of the running activities or any equipment used.
13. Force Majeure: FTRT shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this waiver if such failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or government regulations.
14. Severability: If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15. Governing Law: This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which FTRT is based, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
16. Acknowledgment of Understanding: I have read this waiver and fully understand its terms. I acknowledge that I am signing this waiver freely and voluntarily, and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
